AFCON: Iheanacho Key To Super Eagles’ Attack – Enthusiasts
Ahead of Nigeria’s round of 16 clash with Cameroon’s Indomitable Lions at the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote D’Ivoire, football enthusiasts want to see Kelechi Iheanacho in action for the Super Eagles.
The Leicester City Man is yet to feature for the three time African Champions at the Continental showpiece where Nigeria has managed to score just three goals in three games.
Reigning African football King, Victor Osimhen has scored just once despite featuring in all three group stage games against Equatorial Guinea, hosts Cote D’Ivoire and Guinea Bissau’s Wild Dogs.
With the round of 16 clash against Cameroon in sight, Nigerians believe Iheanacho has a huge role to play if Nigeria’s goal scoring crisis would be solved.
If Kelechi Iheanacho and Ademola Lookman both start for the Super Eagles, it could be the key to unlocking Nigeria's striking problems in Ivory Coast, and could benefit Victor Osimhen more.
Iheanacho can thread a good pass, and Lookman who has been playing so well in Abidjan,… pic.twitter.com/w9DCbXwRho

Yes we've qualified but our poor goal conversion rate might hurt us in this AFCON.
Some say Osimhen doesn't get enough passes but truth is, he's missed some great scoring chances.
Here's my take on his finishing & maybe it's time we see Iheanacho play close to him.#AFCON2023 pic.twitter.com/A5FnAD5uyT

It's a cr!me for him to keep Iheanacho on the bench while we are struggling in front of goal-scoring.
The right thing was for him to pair Iheanacho with Osimhen.
That combination could possibly put us at goals advantage.

Under coach Jose Peseiro at the AFCON, the team has struggled for consistency in creating chances and scoring goals, and due to Iheanacho’s understanding of the African terrain, he’s been touted to add flair to the team’s display particularly at this crucial stage.
Ndidi and Iheanacho could have made this team better.
Iwobi's only reason for playing Football is being Okocha's cousin. He should be singing with Santan Dave.
Chukwueze, LOL.
