Afcon 2021 will make it the third time Burkina Faso and Cameroon will be playing against each other in the Africa cup of nations. Their first encounter was in 1998 when Cameroon defeated the Stallions 2 goals to nil. The second time was in 2017 when they played 0-0. Both occasions was in the group stage.
