Morocco and Ghana have met only three times at the Africa cup of nations. The three occasions are all in the group stage. In the three occasions, they defeated each other once and drew once- one win each and one draw.

AFCON 2021 is Morocco 18th appearance at the Africa cup of nations. Their best performance was in 1976 when they won the AFCON title.
