Super Eagles Not Money Driven – NFF

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has hailed the Super Eagles team for putting professionalism first in their quest for a fourth African title in Cote D’Ivoire.

The team has qualified for the semi final of the 34th edition of the continental showpiece after accounting for Angola’s Palancras Negras in the quarter final courtesy Ademola Lookman’s solitary effort at the Stade Felix Houphouet Boigny, Abidjan.

Before the quarter final clash, the Nigeria Football Federation confirmed that it has settled outstanding bonuses of the team with each players getting more than thirty thousand dollars.

In an interview with the General Secretary of the NFF, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, he hailed the players for putting professionalism first and working effortlessly on and off the pitch even while their incentives were being expected.

Dr. Sanusi said “We as a federation sincerely appreciate the Super Eagles for not being driven by money, even before the money was disbursed to them, they weren’t showing signs of weakness, they were so professional and were carrying out their primary assignment”

“To them, it’s all about the game and not the money, so it’s imperative for us as well to play our part as we have always done”

The NFF scribe assured that the Nigeria Football Federation is leaving no stone unturned in ensuring that the team continues to get support in all spheres”
