Work Free Day In Cote D’Ivoire As Host Nation Battle Champions Senegal
The Ivorian government under the leadership of President Alassane Ouatarra has once again declared a work free day in the country.
This decision has now become a norm in the host Nation since the tournament started, just to ensure that more natives storm the stadium to support the home team.
Recall that same happened when the Ivorians played Nigeria in the group stage, as well as the scandalous 4-0 loss to Equatorial Guinea.
The Elephants only qualified as one of the best 3rd place teams after a group stage that was far from convincing.
There were reports of home fans causing troubles, destroying buses and expressing dissatisfaction in manners that were unsportsmanlike after losing to Equatorial Guinea.
Some visitors also alleged that there was power outage after the Ivorians were beaten.
Power outage in Cote d'Ivoire for over 6 hours now.
It has never happened.
Could it be a coincidence or it was because of Equatorial Guinea thrashing?

It’s another test for them as they go up against one of the tournament’s favourites, Senegal.
Workers and students are at home at the moment, getting set for the big one.
