Cote D’Ivoire Without A Coach Ahead Of Senegal Clash
Hosts Country Cote D’Ivoire will take on defending Champions, Senegal’s Teranga Lions in the round of 16 of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations without a substantive coach in charge of affairs.
The 2015 champions had relieved Frenchman Jean- Louis Gasset of his duties after the scandalous 4-0 loss to Equatorial Guinea in their last group A game at the Alassane Ouatarra stadium, Ebimbe.

With Morocco pipping Zambia’s Chipolopolo 1-0 on Wednesday, the host Nation picked up one of the third best placed teams slot to qualify for the first knockout stage.
It remains to be seen if Gasset would be recalled or the Ivorian Football Federation will look inwards to have an indigenous gaffer take temporary charge of the team.
