‘You did so well Tuchel’ – Fans react to sack of Chelsea manager
Fans have taken to social media to express their reactions to the dismissal of Thomas Tuchel as Chelsea manager.
Tuchel was shown the exit door by the new club management on Wednesday morning after the Blues were by Dinamo Zagreb with a 1-0 defeat in a Champions League match on Tuesday night.
Tuchel was appointed as Frank Lampard’s successor in January 2021 and he led the Blues to win the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup in his few months at the club.
The news of the sack came as a shock to some of the club faithful while others believed the dismissal is justified with respect to the club’s investment in the summer transfer window.
If Chelsea employ Pochettino it will not longer be a coincidence, i will suggest and conclude that Pochettino is chasing Thomas Tuchel spiritually. 😎

I think Thomas Tuchel’s sack is just part of the new era Todd Boehly is quickly building.
He’s let go of Marina and Cech, mainstays in the former Abramovic era.
He’s signed many players in one window and still willing to sign more.
He wants this new Chelsea in his own image.

Tuchel had a well funded squad throughout his stay at the club. Roman had just massively improved the squad in 20/21. After the UCL win, the feeling was that they needed a finisher, broke the bank for Lukaku in 21/22. Now almost £300m in 22/23. Yet his team didn’t look it at all.

The clearest signs of progression for any football team remains their league results and trajectory. Chelsea have not improved in the league under Tuchel at all. You can win cup competitions, but how well have you done in the league? Well deserved sack.

Thomas Tuchel sacked.
The UCL win was just the normal managerial bounce. He earned it & deserved all his flowers. But this journey was designed to end now.
