WAFCON 2022: Senegal confirm friendly dates with Cameroon and Guinea-Bissau
The Lionesses of Senegal are gearing up for their third appearance in the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations with three friendly matches against two countries confirmed.
The first two games will be played against the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon, while the other match will be against Guinea-Bissau as confirmed by the president of the Women’s Football Commission to the Senegalese Football Federation, Seyni Ndir Seck.
The first game against Cameroon will take place in Douala on June 13 and three days later, the two Lionesses will roar at each other in Senegal.
The friendly match against Guinea-Bissau will be played on June 22.
For the 2022 WAFCON that starts in Morocco on July, Senegal have been paired against the host nation – Morocco, Burkina Faso and Uganda in Group A.
In their last two appearances in 1991 and 2012, Senegal did not make it past the group stage.
