Transfer: Mbappe dismissed PSG exit rumours
Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe has dismissed reports that he is going to leave the Parc des Princes this summer.
According to L’Equipe, PSG are looking to sell the star forward this summer after making his intention not to renew his contract which expires at the end of next season, with the option of another year.
Mbappe reportedly sent a letter to the PSG hierarchy stating his intentions to leave the club this summer and the hierarchy are upset the letter leaked to the press before they saw it.
Mbappe has now taken to social media to respond to a post by Le Parisien that reports about his departure are false, reiterating he will remain in the French capital next season.
“LIES… At the same time, the bigger it is, the more it passes. I have already said that I will continue next season at PSG where I am very happy,” Mbappe said.

Mbappe had earlier stated after winning the Ligue 1 Player of the Year for the fourth time last month that he was staying at PSG: He said: “Next year I will be playing for PSG as I have another year of contract and I want to comply with it.”
Continuous speculation on Mbappe’s future at PSG will renew interest from suitors, notably Real Madrid who were keen to sign him last year but he opted to remain in Paris. Karim Benzema’s departure from the Santiago Bernabeu to Saudi Arabian giants Al-Ittihad also means Madrid needs a replacement and could re-ignite interest in Mbappe.
The 24-year-old has also been linked with a move to Manchester United but that is subject to a takeover of the club by Qatari businessman Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Al Thani from the Glazer family.
Mbappe has scored 212 goals in competitive 260 games to become PSG’s all-time top scorer, winning a total of 13 titles.
