Johnson has been instrumental to Nottingham Forest’s success over the last few seasons, helping them return to the top-flight in 2022 and keeping them in the Premier League last season.
The Wales international, who signed a four-year contract extension with the Garibaldis in June 2022, will move to North London as a replacement for England’s all-time leading scorer Harry Kane, who moved to Bayern Munich in August.
Johnson scored ten goals and provided three assists in 44 matches for Steve Cooper’s side last campaign, and he leaves having bagged 29 goals and 12 assists in 109 matches.
He made his debut for Wales in November 2020 and has two goals in 19 appearances, including featuring in the 2022 FIFA World Cup for them.
With the deal subject to a medical, Johnson will become Spurs’ sixth signing of the transfer window as they look to continue their fine start to life under Australian manager Ange Postecohlou
