Former Manchester united defender, Silvestre rates Salah as the deadliest player in the premier league right now and best top three in the world in an interview with goal.

Michael Silvestre, the former Manchester united and Arsenal defender describes Mohamed Salah, the Liverpool and Egypt star as the deadliest striker in the English premier league right now.

By all indications, the adjective- “deadliest” describes Mo Salah right now. His current form has seen him produce 15 clinical finishes so far this season.

He currently tops the EPL goal-scoring chart with 15 goals followed by fellow Liverpool player, Diogo Jota, which is currently on 10 goals and Jamie Vardy, third on 9 goals. Salah has been tipped to win the Premier league Golden boot this season if he continues with this form.

No doubt, his goals have helped put Liverpool in a good position to win the premiership title this season.

Liverpool will indeed miss Salah absence when he joins his team mates at Cameroon for Afcon 2021 on January 3. Liverpool is expected to play Brentford, Crystal Palace, and probably Leicester city without Salah.

Furthermore, Silvestre did not agree with Salah this year’s Ballon d’Or position. Salah was ranked seventh. Silvestre expected him to be at least in the top three.

He said in a recent interview with goal when asked, who the EPL deadliest player is right now. “Mo Salah for sure, no question about it. Right now, he is up there for sure. Ignore his Ballon d’Or position. I love Messi, but for him to be first, Ronaldo 6th and Salah 7th? On current form right now, Mohamed Salah is top three for sure.”

The former Manchester United also named the two times African footballer of the year as one of his favorites African footballers alongside the current Liberia president and Liberia Legend, George Weah.

Mohamed Salah will be chasing for his first taste of international success in Cameroon, starting January 11, when they take on the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
