‘Rashford is back to his best’ – Fans applaud England star’s rejuvenated form in Qatar
Football fans around the world have heaped well-deserved praise on England forward Marcus Rashford following his revived goalscoring form at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The Manchester United forward scored a brace in the Three Lions’ 3-0 victory over Wales on his first start in Qatar joining France’s Kylian Mbappe, Netherlands’ Cody Gakpo and Ecuador’s Enner Valencia as joint-top scorers with three goals.
The 25-year-old endured a dip in form following his missed penalty against Italy at Wembley Stadium in the UEFA Euro 2020 final held last year.
Rashford’s second goal at the Ahmed Bin Ali Stadium on Tuesday night was the nation’s 100th goal scored at the Mundial.
