No point trying to waste time in this World Cup. These officials will add every single second on. Second game where more than 10 minutes added at the end.

This World Cup has been generous with extra time.

Why is extra time so much in the world cup?
— Sarah (@sarahelfeel) November 21, 2022
Pretty sure if you added up all the injury time played after just 4 1/2 games at this World Cup, there’s enough for a whole extra game.

Must admit, I do like all the added time in this World Cup. Making sure any incidents of injury, VAR & time wasting is all given at the end of each half. #Qatar2022

With the amount of time being added at this World Cup, imagine your country is leading 1-0 in the knockouts against a top side and the officials add 10 minutes. 😂😂😂

The added time is crazy this World Cup but I really love it. Gets us at least a little closer to actual 90 minutes of active play and sets it up for some insane injury time storylines

So bait this is going to be the best World Cup in terms of entertainment especially with the new added time rules

Teams waste too much time nowadays. Im glad this World Cup are giving sufficient extra time

I am 100% totally here for all this extra time. Time wasting isn’t a part of the sport, it’s a flaw. Only playing 65-75 minutes of a 90min game is bullshit. #WorldCup

The number of minutes given so far as extra time at this World Cup is something else

Why are they adding on so much time at this World Cup? It’s ridiculous amounts. England game practically had extra time
— SY (@arsenal_0502) November 21, 2022
You know just the classic 14 mins extra time WTFF 🤣🤣🤣 #WorldCup pic.twitter.com/1ovQNSHpgo

Are referees making money from dashing out extra time at this World Cup?
Any small thing, 10 mins extra time.
— Yomi Kazeem (@TheYomiKazeem) November 21, 2022
If you think that the added time in the games so far in the World Cup is mad, just wait until Semis with extra time and penalties. That’s half a day gone!

The extra time this world cup?? 😭😭😭
— francesca ucey 🇦🇷 (@beckysbiceps) November 21, 2022
What’s going on with the excessive extra time after each half in every game? The conditions are difficult enough for the players. @FIFAWorldCup

To reduce the impact of time wasting on the games, the fourth officials are now saddled with the task of keeping a track of the lost times while the game is ongoing.
