‘Never write off Chelsea in the Champions League’ – Fans elated as Potter’s side edge past Dortmund
Chelsea put in a solid display as they come back to defeat Borussia Dortmund 2-0 to progress 2-1 to the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League.
The Blues had recorded a 1-0 win over Leeds United at the weekend which was just their second win in 2023. They carried on from there with Raheem Sterling and Kai Havertzโs penalty handing them back-to-back wins in all competitions for the first time since October.
Graham Potterโs men also handed Dortmund their first loss of 2023 and prevent them from scoring for the first time in almost four months. It also ended the German giantsโ 11-game competitive wining streak.
The result put smiles on Chelsea fans, with some believing the club has a different mentality when it comes to the Champions League.

I'm beginning to see that tight man-marking I enjoyed watching at Brighton under Potter. It's work in progress at Chelsea.
Potter's philosophy is easier to implement in a 3 atb. Once we learn the basics and fundamentals, we can switch formation and apply it without issues.
