‘Morocco is Africa’ – Jubilation gulps social media after Spain exit
Social media is awash with celebratory messages following Morocco’s historic victory over Spain to progress to the quarter-final of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
The North African country held Spain to a goalless draw after extra-time and goalkeeper Bonou stepped up to the occasion to make two saves while PSG’s Achraf Hakimi scored the winning goal.
Spain failed to convert all their attempts from the spot, but Morocco’s victory has sparked celebration from football enthusiasts across Africa.
If any anything,Morocco has demonstrated through their resilience tonight that Africans must change their mind & actions. That we can only build Africa depends through will-power, persistent effort & action towards self liberation. Nigeria is on the right path. VOTE PETER OBI.

The problem with Morocco’s victory over Spain is that Arabs will go wild over it than Sub-Saharan Africa would. That divide needs to be closed.π #MORSPA #FIFAWorldCup

On the big stage, experience matters more than talents.
Luis Enrique not bringing Sergio Ramos, Thiago Alcantara and David De Gea clearly shows it all.
Morocco Barely complete 300 passes compare to Spain’s 1000+ passes, yet they knocked them out.

Some of the greatest moments in life rests on decision making. The firing of Halidhozic, replacing him with #Regragui and returning Ziyech was a masterstroke by the Moroccan FA. Hate him or love him, Faouzi Lekjaa has to take the credit for this one. #Morocco #QatarWorldCup2022 pic.twitter.com/Wm1HoC0Z4N
