Senegal have booked a place in the quarter-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon after seeing off a brave Cape Verde.
Sadio Mane and Bamba Dieng scored to give Senegal a 2-0 win against the nine-man Cape Verde.
Patrick Andrade and goalkeeper Vozinha made the work easier for Senegalese after they were both sent off in the encounter.
The match in Bafoussam was preceded by a minute’s silence for the victims of the crush at the Olembe Stadium on Monday.
Senegal will face either Mali or Equatorial Guinea in the last eight on Sunday.
