Mane scores on Bundesliga as Bayern Munich thrash Frankfurt
Sadio Mane opened his German Bundesliga goal account in Bayern Munich’s 6-1 thrashing of Eintracht Frankfurt on Friday night.
The Senegal star started the encounter for Julian Nagelsmann’s side and he found the back of the net in the 29th minute.
The effort was Bayern Munich’s third goal after opening strikes from Joshua Kimmich and Benjamin Pavard within the first 10 minutes.
Mane had a memorable debut outing in the German top-flight after scoring his maiden goal for the Bavarians a week ago in the German Super Cup win over RB Leipzig.
19-year-old Jamal Musiala and Serge Gnabry wrapped up the emphatic win for the visitors at the Deustche Bank Park.
Mane played for the entire 90 minutes, while Morocco’s Noussair Mazraoui came on as an 82nd-minute substitute to make his debut following his permanent signing from Ajax.
Mane will hope to continue his inspiring start to life in Germany when Bayern Munich host Wolfsburg for their next Bundesliga match on August 14.
