Yamal, who was voted as best La Liga U23 player in August, defeated Kylian Mbappé (Real Madrid), Iñaki Williams (Athletic Club), Giovani Lo Celso (Real Betis) and Carlos Vicente (Deportivo Alavés) to win the accolade.
The La Masia Academy graduate scored twice in Barca’s 4-1 win against Girona before providing an assist in their 5-1 win at Viarreal.
Although he drew a blank in their 1-0 win over Getafe, he got back on the scoresheet with a goal in their shocking 4-2 defeat to Osasuna in their final league fixture in the month.
Yamal has made eight league appearances for Barca this campaign, scoring four goals and providing five assists in seven starts.
