Ivory Coast will resume back to action against France on March 25 after crashing out of the ongoing CAF Africa Cup of Nations in the round of 16. They lost to Egypt on penalties, 4-5.

The Pharaohs have gone on to reach the final of the tournament. Egypt will battle it out with Senegal tomorrow, 20.00 WAT for the gold medal.

South Africa did not qualify for the tournament, and both teams did not qualify for the Africa world cup play off scheduled for March.

France have not played against an African country since their 0-0 draw against the Elephants in November 2016.

France faced South Africa in the 2010 world cup when the Les Blues defeated the Bafana Bafana 2-1. Though, both teams did not make it out of the group phase.

France also defeated South Africa in 1998 World Cup, 3-0 in the group phase.
