Recall that Nwabali was not part of the AFCON qualifiers and only got the nod to be between the sticks just few weeks before the continental showpiece got underway.
He has now proven to be the man in shape to solve the goalkeeping crisis that has rocked the three time African Champions for years.

Nwabali has only conceded two goals in the tournament, one in the team’s group opener against Equatorial Guinea and the other in yesterday’s clash with South Africa at the stadium of Peace in Bouake.
Due to his immense contribution to the team even within a very short while, Nigerians home and abroad are now singing his praises.
