Guardiola predicts outcome of Arsenal’s final games
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has predicted that Arsenal will win their remaining Premier League games of the season.
The Gunners relinquished their long lead at the top after a string of poor results and the Citizens are currently ahead by one point with a game in hand.
Momentum has now shifted in City’s favour, with pundits tipping the men in sky blue to lift a third straight league title and fifth overall under Guardiola. The Catalan tactician says his team need to do the required job from their end if it is to happen.
“Definitely Arsenal are going to win the three games in hand. So we know what we have to do to win the Premier League,” Guardiola said head of City’s trip to Everton.
“Well I’ll like the games against Brighton, Nottingham and Wolves, I would like them to drop points. But I think they will get the nine points.”
Man City will head back home after the Everton game to tackle Real Madrid in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-finals next Wednesday.
The game is tied 1-1 from the first leg at the Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday.
