‘Give Us the Premier League title already’ – Arsenal fans go wild in epic comeback against Bournemouth
Arsenal continued their Premier League title charge with an impressive 3-2 comeback victory over Bournemouth at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.
The Gunners had gone 2-0 down through goals from Philip Billing and Marcos Senesi, but Mikel Arteta’s men showed grit and determination, clawing their way back with goals from Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey, Ben White and finally Reiss Nelson’s winner in the seventh minute of added time to bring an end to the thrilling encounter.
Social media went into a frenzy as fans, experts, and former players celebrated the North Londoners’ emphatic comeback win over the Cherries, with many rivals already conceding the trophy to the Gunners with about 12 games to go.
Reiss Nelson, game changer!!! 😍🤩🙏🏾 @Arsenal

The game today and the Nelson winner is a perfect summary of Arteta's career at Arsenal.
The result was poor for much of the game, but the process was phenomenal, and that same process suggested a likely Arsenal comeback.
That occurred, despite much hardship.

Arsenal had 77 touches inside the opposition box against Bournemouth, the most by any side in a PL game since Man City had 87 vs. Norwich in July 2020.
They also had 31 shots, the most the Gunners have had in a PL match since Dec 2017 (33 vs. Man Utd).

After the Referee added 6minutes. Adam smith fell and was on the ground for 2minutes and the referee pointed at his watch so the extra minutes was on point and Arsenal should have gotten 2penalties.

Give Arsenal the PL title already. They can't be more deserving of it than they already are. Their mentality, despite being so young, is elite. I hope that group doesn't get broken up.
— Nobody (@dharnyyoung) March 4, 2023
31 shots today for Arsenal, nine on target.
Bournemouth had just four shots.
Would be more preferable for my heart and nerves if we did not keep having to score injury time winners.
That's the third 90th+ winning goal since the turn of the year.

Arteta isn't only an elite coach. He changed the culture of Arsenal Football Club. He changed the fans from doubters to believers, like Jürgen Klopp once did.
Arsenal, not so long ago, were a group of individuals who flattered to deceive.
Now they're a team – a winning team.

I’ve seen some great Arsenal teams in my lifetime – and I mean truly great teams that sit at the table among the best ever to play the game. But I have never seen an Arsenal team with this kind of character. Our ability to fight back in the face of adversity is on another planet.

The game marked their second comeback in four league games after a 4-2 win over Aston Villa a fortnight ago. Arsenal remain five points clear of Manchester City at the top, and with such a performance at the Emirates, some fans believe a first league title in 19 years is getting closer than ever.
