Ghanaians sad but welcome Otto Addo’s resignation as Black Stars head coach
Ghanaians have reacted to the resignation of Otto Addo’s resignation as the head coach of the country’s national team after their exit from the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
The Black Stars suffered a 2-0 loss to Uruguay in their final group match on Friday which sent them to the bottom of Group G with just three points after three games.
The heartbreak was worsened by Addo’s announcement to leave the national team for his duty as talent coach in German Bundesliga club, Borussia Dortmund.
The decision has been described as an honourable move while some sections blamed it on the Ghanaian Football Association’s interference in the team selection.
Congratulation Otto Addo though our expectations was not able to be materializesd but still we are proud of you and black 🌟 more strength to your elbow.

Otto Addo’s words are prophetic
Leadership that is interfered with can only results in patched work
You can’t sew the new and old together and expect results..— Nii Okpoti Sowah (@87Okpoti) December 3, 2022
I predicted we will not qualify and also we will be the last in the group. I wish Otto Addo stay to build the team. I know when giving chance like the Senegal coach, he can achieve success, he can win something but not now, it will take him 5-10yrs and we should have patient

Thank God Otto Addo has stepped down, the Ayews and Partey should do same.. The Ghanaian doesn’t deserve them.. Those talking mouths should go and take charge…
Let’s learn to appreciate goodness and focus on positivity 🙏🏼— Nii Joey (@NiiJoey4) December 3, 2022
Realistically, this #WorldCup came too soon for the very young Ghana squad. Proud of their efforts and excited for the future. Otto Addo did well to even qualify the team for the World Cup. 🇬🇭

At least, Coach Otto Addo knows when to walk away. He is not like the finance minister, Ofori Atta.

Thanks Otto Addo, you’ve written your name in our history, big ups

Otto Addo is resigning from coaching @GhanaBlackstars because of people like Countryman Songo who doesn’t know a thing about football yet behaves all knowing and slams other people for owning up to make a difference.
And funny enough he gets all the hype for his utter bs!

Never take this away from Otto Addo. A gentleman.
History will never forget the heart of gratitude of every warrior. Whether in times of happiness or in times of sorrow. Honor their efforts. Better days ahead. Thank you Otto Addo https://t.co/AjOji8fWx9

Otto Addo has done the honourable thing by resigning as the coach of the Black Stars. Unlike the people who know no shame and are clinging to power after failing miserably as a government.

Had it not been for the “handlers and owners” of our national team, we would have reached an expected end.
However, you delivered well in your role Coach @OttoAddoBvB.
Thank you, and best wishes in your endeavor🇬🇭🙏#OttoAddo #GHAURU#GFA pic.twitter.com/ZEFumVrVEp— Richmond Wardie Darko (@darko_wardie) December 3, 2022
