Gabriel Jesus gets fans talking as Arsenal breeze past Leeds Utd
Gabriel Jesus was the star of the show as he scored a brace in Arsenal’s 4-1 win over Leeds United which sent them back eight points clear of closest rivals Manchester City.
The Brazilian forward had been out of action since October last year with a knee injury. He made his first league start since then on Saturday, and showed glimpses of his quality, first scoring from the penalty spot before firing brilliantly from close range for the Gunners’ third goal.
Jesus’ return will be very crucial as Arsenal continue to push towards their first league title in 19 years. Fans were appreciative of his performance and expect to see him do more of the same now that the former Man City man is back to full fitness.
Very happy for the day I have lived today. After a lot of hard work and perseverance on the rehab, here we are again. Let's go, gunners!#alômãe #gratidão #doperi pic.twitter.com/S1zU4VYVnY

🇧🇷 Gabriel Jesus was great today, but I really liked Martinelli.
⚡️He was my personal MOTM, the team needed an injection of energy and he lifted the crowd up every time.

Don’t underestimate the importance of those two goals for Gabriel Jesus ahead of our trip to Anfield. He was fantastic today, covering every blade of grass and urging his teammates for more. Such a beautiful sight seeing him in an #Arsenal shirt again. A true warrior. #ARSLEE pic.twitter.com/TWL09T3eFr

Eddie Nketiah did such a good job in the absence of Gabriel Jesus, but today was a reminder of how different they are as strikers.
In the league this season, Nketiah averages 39 touches of the ball for every 90 minutes. In just 60 minutes today, Jesus had 48 touches.
