Fans troll Liverpool after defeat to bottom-placed Bournemouth
Football fans have taken to social media to troll Liverpool following their 1-0 loss to relegation-battlers Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
The Reds were high in confidence in the wake of their 7-0 trashing of Manchester United last weekend and it was thus expected facing the Cherries would be a walk in the park.
It was however far from the case with Danish-Nigerian midfielder Philip Billing – who netted the fastest goal in Premier League history against Arsenal previously – scoring once again to inflict Liverpool’s eighth defeat of the season and widen the gap to the top four to six points following Tottenham Hotspur’s 3-1 win over Nottingham Forest.
Rival fans did not hold back in mocking Jurgen Klopp’s men in what was a totally contrasting performance where Mohamed Salah also missed a penalty.

… and they’re playing so well 😜

That’s a few false dawns from Liverpool now this season. There’s a reason why they’re below Tottenham. Social media hubris from Alexander-Arnold last week followed by one of the most negligent defensive performances you could ever see from a right-back this week.

Imagine thinking Liverpool are currently better than Man Utd because of a fluke result we inflicted on ourselves, only for them to go on and lose to relegation-threatened Bournemouth with Salah missing a penalty.

United can go 10 points above Liverpool tomorrow, have already lifted a trophy (67-66), are all-but in a European quarter-final and can book another Wembley trip next week.
Let them enjoy one freak result because it’s the only thing they’ve had to celebrate this season. 😂
