Former Nigeria captain Jay-Jay Okocha has congratulated his former Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt following their UEFA Europa League success against Rangers on Wednesday.
Eintracht Frankfurt clinched the European title after edging the Scottish giants 5-4 on penalties at the end of extra-time.
Nigeria’s Joe Aribo opened the scoring for Rangers just before the hour-mark but Rafael Borre drew both teams on level terms in the 69th minute.
Aaron Ramsey missed his penalty in the shoot-out and Borre stepped up to convert the winning spot-kick for the Germans.
It was Eintracht Frankfurt’s second Europa League crown and Okocha who played for the Eagles between 1992 and 1996 when he scored his famous goal against Oliver Kahn.
