Done Deal: Roberto Firmino joins Al-Ahli on a permanent deal
Brazilian forward Roberto Firmino has joined Saudi Arabian side Al-Ahli on a free transfer after his contract with Liverpool expired in June.
The 31-year-old, who announced in March that he would be leaving the Merseyside club at the end of the 2022–23 season, signs for the Saudi Pro League club as a free agent on a three-year deal.

Firmino joins former Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy as the newest acquisitions for Al-Ahli after the latter also moved to the Middle East on a three-year deal last week.
The former Hoffenheim star departs Anfield having scored 111 goals and provided 79 assists in 362 games for the Reds after joining from Gemany in 2015.
Firmino left Anfield as a free agent this summer, along with Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and James Milner.
He helped Liverpool win their first-ever Premier League title in 30 years when they won it in 2020. He also helped them to victories in both the FA Cup and League Cup in 2022, the UEFA Champions League, the Super Cup, and the FIFA Club World Cup, where he scored the only goal in the final in 2019.
Firmino becomes the latest star to make the switch to Saudi Arabia from Europe after big names like N’Golo Kante, Marcelo Brozovic, Karim Benzema, Ruben Neves, and the likes.
