Chukwueze and Mendy star in UEFA champions league round of 16
The Senegalese goalkeeper, Mendy was in goal for Chelsea as they beat Lille in the first leg of the UEFA champions league round of 16, while Nigeria forward, Chukwueze stars for Villarreal in 1-1 draw with Juventus.

Though, Lille was on top in the majority of the first half, they were unable to equalize. Chelsea doubled the lead 18 minutes after resuming the second half through the USA international Pulisic. Ngolo kante is the architect of the goal as he drives through the middle of the Lille midfield before passing to Pulisic who fires the ball past the goalkeeper into the bottom right corner. The Senegalese goalkeeper, Edouard Mendy deny Lille twice, and help his team keep a crucial clean sheet. Both teams meet again in the second leg on March 16 at Stade Pierre Mauroy.
The other game tonight ends 1-1 between Villarreal and Juventus. It was Juventus who took the lead through Dusan Vlahovic after 32 seconds into the match. Since then, Villarreal has been trying to get back into the game, which they eventually did in the 66 minute when Dani Parejo run through the Juventus box completely unmarked, and fired a past the goalkeeper.
Chukwueze put in a spectacular performance to help his team take the lead after equalizing, but all to no avail. He was replaced by Yeremi Pino in the 90th minute in a tactical substitution. Juventus will host Villarreal in the second leg at the Allianz Arena on March 16.
