CAF release calendar for interclub 2022-23 season
The Confederation of African Football, CAF, has released the schedule for the 2022/2023 interclub competitions – the CAF Champions League and the CAF Confederations Cup.
The regulatory deadline set for Member Associations of CAF to submit their engagement requests on behalf of their clubs is July 31st.
After which, clubs must register their players between August 1st and 15th, followed by the preliminary round for Champions League and Confederation Cup which will start from September 9th to 18th, 2022.
The second preliminary round will be from the 7th to the 16th of October, and the last preliminary round for only the Confederations Cup is between November 2nd and 3rd.
Clubs will have the whole of January 2023 for their new player registration, and the group stage will start on the 10th of February.
The quarter-finals will be in April, while the semi-finals will be played in May and the final will be decided on a later date between the 2nd and 11th of June 2023.
