Arsenal boss Arteta reacts to Aubameyang’s move to Chelsea
Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta said Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s return to the Premier League could be because he wants to change again and find his best possible move for the future.
He left the Emirates Stadium in January after falling out of favour in Arteta’s team and he was stripped of the captaincy for disciplinary breaches at the club.
Aubameyang returned to London after completing a £10m move to Chelsea from Barcelona on Thursday night and Arteta has sent his best wishes to the 2015 African Footballer of the Year.
“I’m sure he’s made that decision because he wants to change again and find the best possible move for his future. We wish him the best of luck,” the Spanish coach said in a press conference on Friday.
Arsenal travel to Old Trafford for their next Premier League match against Manchester United on Sunday and Arteta is expecting his team to extend 100 per cent winning streak.
He added: @The feeling and energy around the club [is good], the way the team is playing and performing, the icing on cake is winning football matches.
“We have to continue to do that, keep doing simple things right and keep playing well.”
