AFCON: We Can Beat Anybody, Omeruo Assures Nigerians
CD Legates strong Man, Kenneth Omeruo has assured that the team will not disappoint in Saturday’s clash of the titans with five time winners of the Africa Cup of Nations, Cameroon’s Indomitable Lions.
After the team’s training on Wednesday evening, Omeruo who was part of the Super Eagles team that conquered Africa in 2013 described the Cameroonians as familiar foes, he added that the players know exactly what to do to conquer.
The central defender who featured from the bench in the last two games, expressed confidence that the team will not disappoint in its quest for a 4th African crown.
He said “We are very confident, after the last game we said to ourselves that whoever we get in the round of 16, we just have to keep to our game plan, give it one hundred percent and we can beat anybody”
Training will continue this Thursday at the Police College training pitch in Abidjan starting from 5pm Nigerian time, 4pm local time.
Saturday’s game at the Stade Felix Houphouet Boigny, Abidjan will kick off at 8pm.
