AFCON 2021: Patrice Beaumelle pre-match statement against Equatorial Guinea
Patrice Beaumelle, Ivory Coast coach, who was the assistant coach of the Ivory coast team that won the 2015 AFCON title says the Elephant will aim for a win in each game, in a pre-match statement.
If there is any coach that knows how to win the Africa Cup of Nations in this tournament is the Ivory Coast coach, Patrice Beaumelle. The 2015 success is still fresh in the memory and the French man will aim to win the title again as the head coach.
Due to his achievement, whatever he says is weighty. Patrice while speaking ahead of their clash against the National Thunder says the Elephants will go for the win in each game, regardless of the team they are playing.
However, he considered Equatorial Guinea as a difficult team to play against. On the atmosphere in the dressing room, the coach said the players are motivated to perform excellently in this competition. The Elephants are ready-up and no excuses- said Patrice as quoted by cafonline.
“In cote d’Ivoire we go for win in each game. Equatorial Guinea are always a difficult team to play against. The team is motivated to do well in this competition. All the players are ready and we have no excuses”.
The match between Ivory Coast and Equatorial Guinea kicks off 8pm today. Algeria and Sierra Leone who are also in Group E played yesterday and it ended in a stalemate. A win for the Elephants today will boost their chances of finishing top of Group E.
