As the Super Eagles gear up for the final of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, a Nigerian is looking forward to seeing Francis Uzoho in goal against Cote D’Ivoire.

First choice goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has been In a superb form which has seen him concede just two goals all through the tournament.

Nwabali was also voted man of the match as the three time African Champions edged South Africa at the stadium of Peace in Bouake on Wednesday.

Apart from making crucial saves in regulation time, the former Wikki Tourists, Lobi Stars and Enyimba International shot stopper also saved two spot kicks during the shootout to propel the Super Eagles to their first AFCON final since 2013.

Uzoho who lost his starting shirt to Nwabali has only featured once in the ongoing AFCON, he was a substitute in the round of 16 when Nwabali picked up an injury against Cameroon.

Although the call for Uzoho to feature in the final has been watered down as people saw the post as mere sarcasm, particularly at a point where Nwabali is in contention for the goalkeeper of the tournament
