Nigerians React As Peseiro Drops Sanusi For South Africa Clash
Portugal based Zaidu Sanusi has been dropped from the Super Eagles team that will face Bafana Bafana of South Africa this evening in the Semi Final of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Sanusi was reported to have missed training on Tuesday and will now be assessed to see if he will be available for the team’s fina game of the tournament.
Nottingham Forest defender Ola Aina who has been decent in the tournament will take his role at the left wing back, while Bright Osayi-Samuel will play from the right side of the defense.

Sanusi has been a subject of criticism from Nigerians since the tournament started due to several misplaced passes and his inability to find a connection with the attackers whenever he moves forward.

Although the FC Porto left back has not done bad defensively, himself alongside Troost Ekong, Calvin Bassey, Semi Ajayi and Ola Aina have only conceded one goal since the tournament started.
The news of Zaidu Sanusi sitting out today’s game against South Africa is good news for the team.
Zaidu needs a solitary moment to communicate with his inner spirit and find out why his legs are restricted to running alone.

Sanusi’s absence is the only difference in the Super Eagles list of players that played Cameroon and Angola in the round of 16 and the quarter final.
