The recent news about Victor Osimhen’s current situation has sent shivers down the spine of football loving Nigerians ahead of Wednesday’s Africa Cup of Nations semi final clash with South Africa’s Bafana Bafana in Bouake.

On Monday night, the reigning African Footballer of the year did not travel with the rest of the squad from Abidjan to Bouake due to what was described as abdominal discomfort.

Although he’s under medical watch and will travel to Bouake today if he passes a late medical test.

Some Nigerians meanwhile are not convinced that Osimhen will not be part of the game, believing it’s all mind games from the Super Eagles camp.

On the part of others, the Napoli striker has to be available for the clash if the Super Eagles must progress to the grand finale and stake a claim for a fourth African crown.

Contrarily, other Nigerians are confident that Osimhen’s absence will not stop the three time African Champions from reaching the final at the expense of South Africa’s Bafana Bafana.

If Osimhen doesn’t recover on time, coach Jose Peseiro will depend on his bench with either Paul Onuachu, Terem Moffi or Kelechi Iheanacho getting the nod to start upfront.
