Done Deal: Pau Torres joins Aston Villa on long-term deal
Premier League side Aston Villa have announced the signing of Spanish defender Pau Torres from Villarreal on a long-term deal for an undisclosed fee.
The 26-year-old defender reunites with Unai Emery, who was his former boss with the Yellow Submarines.

His move to Villa Park is subject to international clearance and a successful visa application.
Torres, an academy graduate with Villarreal, departs the Estadio de la Cerámica with 12 goals and three assists from 173 appearances.
He lifted the Europa League in 2021 under the tutelage of Emery and also helped Villarreal reach the semi-finals of the Champions League in 2022.
The left-sided center-back is also a full-time Spain international with 23 caps and a goal for La Roja. He helped them to a second-place finish in the Nations League in 2021 and previously represented his country in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, winning a silver medal.

Torres, Villa’s second signing of the summer, will wear the number 14 shirt with his first name, Pau,” inscribed on his back.
