Nigeria legend Kanu becomes a bus conductor in skit
Former Nigeria international Nwankwo Kanu has shared a skit on social media where he was seen acting as a bus conductor.
The 46-year-old hung himself at the entrance of the bus on a road in Imo State, ready to pick up passengers in the manner bus conductors in the famous yellow buses in Lagos known as ‘Danfo’ do.
In the skit, boys wearing kits of Kanu’s Papilo FC Academy were picked up by the bus also belonging to the academy.
The skit which was shared on Kanu’s Twitter page had a caption that showed surprise of the former Arsenal forward turning into a bus conductor but stressed on having pride and a winning culture anywhere and in any situation.
The caption read: “Kan U believe it? Making you proud anywhere any time. We are always out here winning. Home and abroad.”

The Papilo Football Academy is coined from Kanu’s popular nickname. The academy is based in the Imo State capital of Owerri, the city his football career began with Iwuanyanwu Nationale (now Heartland) in 1992 before moving on to Europe to enjoy success with Ajax, Inter Milan, Arsenal, West Bromwich Albion and Portsmouth.
He also enjoyed success at international level, winning an Olympic gold medal at the 1996 summer games in Atlanta, United States.
