F1: Mercedes team principal Wolff responds to Hamilton-Shakira relationship rumours
Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff says he does not know anything regarding the rumoured romantic relationship between seven-time world champion Sir Lewis Hamilton and Colombian music megastar Shakira.
Rumours have continued to grow about a possible love relationship between the two after both were seen together at the Miami Grand Prix where Hamilton took Shakira out on a boat ride.
She was also seen in the Mercedes garage when she made an appearance at the Spanish Grand Prix. Wolff however stated he was not aware of Shakira’s presence in the German manufacturer’s garage.
“I don’t know anything about that,” Wolff told oe24.
“I didn’t see anything, I just looked at my screen…”
Neither Hamilton nor Shakira have not made a comment publicly about the relationship rumours.
They reportedly had dinner with friends in Barcelona after the Spanish grand prix. It has also been reported that Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz Jr. is the person responsible for linking them up.
Shakira was previously married to former Barcelona and Spain defender Gerard Pique but both divorced last June after 11 years of marriage.
Hamilton meanwhile has never been married but has had either causal or romantic relationships with a host of celebrities some of whom include Nicole Scherzinger, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Veronica Valle, Jasmine Sanders among others.
