Fans have reacted to Kylian Mbappe’s missed sitter in the first half against Australia at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

The 23-year-old of Cameroonian and Algerian descent was left shocked after his shot from about 12 yards out did not find the back of the net.

The Paris Saint Germain forward atoned for his miss in the 68th minute when he pounced on an Ousmane Dembele’s cross to give Les Blues a two-goal lead which resulted in a 4-1 victory.

Mbappe who is playing in his second World Cup after scoring in the final in 2018 to lift France to the title in Russia, is hoping to continue his fine form in front of goal against Denmark on Saturday at the Stadium 974.
