‘Never rely on Arsenal’ – Fans react as Manchester United end Gunners’ winning run
Manchester United ended Arsenal’s winning start to the 2022-23 Premier League season with a 3-1 victory at Old Trafford on Sunday evening.
The result has got fans talking on social media, with some blaming Mikel Arteta’s men for always falling short of expectations, while some reserved praise for the Gunners after a decent away performance.
Debutant Antony opened the scoring for Manchester United in the 35th minute, but Bukayo Saka equalised for Arsenal right on the hour-mark. Marcus Rashford stepped up to secure all three points for the Red Devils with two goals in nine minutes.
Rashord restored United’s lead in the 66th minute and he finished off a fine counter-attacking move in the 75th minute.
Despite the loss, Arsenal are unmoved at the top of the Premier League table with 15 points after six games, while Man Utd are fifth on the table with 12 points.
Below are some of the fans’ comments…

Arsenal should have lose to Aston Villa instead of losing to this Manchester United because they’ll not allow us hear word.

I honestly would have loved @Arsenal to win at Old Trafford to brighten their premiership chances but the way they are bragging with their 5 wins from 5,you will think they have won the world cup.

One thing you must never do is rely on Arsenal to deliver bants to the TL. Beat United so we all can be happy but no. Nonsense club

The way Man Utd responded after the equalizer showed that arsenal never really controlled the game. United allowed it as part of the game plan. ETH is a tactician

Those 3 substitutions from Arteta were also out of it because I feel Arsenal were in good control of the game and creating chances. Ødegaard looks tired on the ball and only him should have been substituted. #MUNARS #EPL
