Sadio Mane resumes full training with Liverpool after a successful AFCON.

The 29-year old trains with his teammates on Friday ahead of a trip to Burnley, following a quick rest on his return.  Sadio Mane left Liverpool for Cameroon after the dramatic 2-2 draw at Stamford bridge when he scored the first goal of the game after 9 minutes.

He had a remarkable success at the continental showpiece, scoring three goals and providing two assists in seven games. He scored the winning spot kick to sink Egypt 4-2 on penalties and win the AFCON trophy for the first time ever.

After an exciting trophy parade, Senegal president, Macky Sall hosted Mane and his teammates, which see them receive the highest honor of the country. Each player also received $87,000 and a plot of land.

The Liverpool winger is back in Anfield to pick up from where he left off before AFCON. He trains with the team after a quick rest on his return.

Before traveling to AFCON, the Senegalese forward has 8 goals and 1 assist to his name in 20 EPL appearances.

Mane was celebrated by his teammates on his return to the training ground.

Though he arrived in time for the Burnley fixture on Sunday, he is not certain the AFCON champion will play a part in the game.

According to Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp a decision will be made after the full training on Friday.

“Sadio will come in for training this morning (Friday morning) and I assume will be in full training, then we will make a decision after that,” Klopp told the media Friday morning.

“Emotionally, he will still be high flying but physically we have to see how intense it was for him in the last few days.”

The return of Mane is  a great addition to the fully fit Liverpool forward line, with Salah also back in action. Salah featured for the Reds against Leicester city when the Egyptian came in for Firmino in the 60th minute.
