Retain Equavoen as Super Eagles permanent coach- Christian Chukwu
Former Super Eagles coach and Nigeria’s ex-international, Christian Chukwu has urged the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to retain Austine Eguavoen as the Eagles permanent coach for the sake of continuity.
Chukwu who captained the national team when they were known as the Green Eagles, also lauded Augustine Eguavoen for the team spirit and discipline he built in the players.
Chukwu said “Eguavoen has already started working with the Eagles and understands the players to a certain extent and bringing in another coach now will destabilise the team.
The new coach will come with his own ideas, which could take the players time to understand.”
Nigeria crashed out of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations after losing 1-0 to Tunisia in the Round of 16 on Sunday.
