Nigeria kicked off their campaign at the AFCON 2021 on a Bright note with a 1-0 win against Egypt.
Leicester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho scored the only goal of the game.
Nigeria were 1-0 up after the first half of the game played in Garoua, Cameroon.
Iheanacho scored the goal with a cool finish after thirty minutes of play.
Nigeria dominated the game throughout the first period as Egypt were defensive in their approach to the match.
However, Egypt took the game back to the Super Eagles but the Austin Eguavoen side held their own to get the three maximum points.
